"Are You Moist Enough?"

Hello everyone! Sorry for not blogging recently, got a little busy with my uni life. So, yeah, I’m back again!

Have anyone realized bout the change of weather in Malaysia?
To me, I feel like it’s getting hotter nowadays.  Even in the morning before 12am, you will feel the heat burning your skin.

For most of the girls, they use umbrellas. I don’t because I’m lazy. And yes, I have tanned skin. Sunscreen? I did not use it either :(

I guess I need to start using sunscreen now. However, my skin is getting more and more dehydrated.
Maybe you’ll say; “ah, what’s so important bout it?”

No matter you’re a male or a female, you have to remember that skin is the largest organ of your body as it covers your entire body.  No one likes flaky, dry and rough skin right? Skin areas like knees, elbow and ankles will turned darker as well!
I’m very sure that any of you would be familiar with Vaseline.
Their most famous product bout be petroleum jelly.

(Image from here)
Vaseline® Petroleum Jelly is a mixture of mineral oils, paraffin and microcrystalline waxes that, when blended together, create something remarkable - a smooth jelly that has a melting point just above body temperature. The result - it literally melts into skin, flowing into the spaces between cells and the gaps in our lipid barrier. Once there, it re-solidifies, locking itself in place.

Vaseline® Petroleum Jelly serves two functions: First it helps keep the outside world out - it protects skin from the effects of weather and exposure. Second, it acts like a sealant to help keep the inside world in - it forms an occlusive barrier to the natural water loss of our skin. So skin that is dry and chapped is protected from drying elements, enabling skin-softening moisture to build up naturally from inside the skin itself.

(Taken from www.vaseline.com)

I’m not going to tell much bout petroleum jelly because I think most people already knew bout it. There’s up to 50 and above alternative uses of petroleum jelly.

These are 10 examples:
-Face moisturizer
-Lip balm/moisturizer
-Mix with sea salt/sugar to use as scrub
-Enhance eyelashes
-Makeup removal
-Manicure/pedicure
-After-shaved
-Ease stuck on rings (can be used on stuck zips as well!)
-Protect against hair dyes, perming, rebonding and other hair chemicals (apply on hairline)
-Keep your nails strong

NOTE: Only 100% Petroleum Jelly is safe to be used!

You may read the rest from here if you’re interested to know more bout it :)

Vaseline had launched their new products to help everyone on taking care of their skin; body lotion in conjunction with Amazing Skin campaign.

They have 4 choices which are designed for consumers’ needs and preferences; Total Moisture, Healthy White, Intensive Rescue, and Aloe Cool and Fresh.

Total Moisture is designed for those who has dry and flaky skin.
Healthy White, for those who want fairer skin and in the same time, moisturize their skin.
Intensive Rescue; for extremely dry skin. I think it’s suitable for other skin types as well because it will help your skin to keep hydrated :)
Aloe Cool and Fresh – light moisturizing lotion which contains aloe vera and cucumber extracts.

I, myself prefer Aloe Vera because I like how it smells :D

So, yeah, I got myself a bottle of Aloe Cool & Fresh because smells the best for me. Lol I know. It’s kinda ridiculous but yeah, that’s me @_@

Let me give some review on it, besides for the calm fragrant it gives out, the lotion is easy to be applied on. It’s not greasy at all! Slightly water and it makes job easier during application! It’s very light and you will feel like you’re not even using lotion!

Now, I will tell you my alternative ways of using lotion.

-I used it on my super dry and damage hair. It works wonder, not to mention how nice it smells like as well hehe
.
-I used it on my nails. Previously, I did used few type of lotions before but they don’t really do much to my nails. Since I used to color my nails a lot, nails got weaker and they’re turning yellow as well.
.
After I used Vaseline’s new body lotion on em, I feel that my nails got stronger and yellow color reduced a bit.
.
-Makeup removal. It works way better than makeup removal for me -_-“
.
-For shaving and after-shaved.
 -Manicure/Pedicure.
.
-To remove stuck on rings.
.
-Manage tangled wigs.

Softer cuticles and stronger nails!

Other alternatives;
-Mix with sugar to use as mild exfoliator

-Mix with tanning lotion to make application easier and evenly

-De-static your clothes

-De-static your pet’s fur

-Shoe polisher

If you have another alternative ways of using lotion, do share it with me :D
